Day 23 *yikes*

Things are actually good! Haha the new rundown:

• Tracks: 5 (possible 6th if my collab track comes through).

• Title: Still TBD haha (I’ll sit and ‘meditate’ on it tonight).

• Cover Art: TBD I swear I’m on top of things haha I’m doing some browsing/shopping tonight

Spent the week finishing the lyrics on the hip-hop tracks. Same producers as Practice Hours, so I can say the vibe will be similar. My head’s been in the same place, anyway (for better or worse). The homie reached out in the middle of last week to offer a collab tracks. I already have a hook and my verse done, just hoping this won’t be a last second situation xD Shout out for the look though, because he didn’t have to reach out in the first place. Gotta keep this little community moving.

The fifth track is an acoustic-y vibe called “Beautiful Trees”. I had a fellow Class of 2010 I-Poly graduate randomly reach out to me a few months ago. He asked if I had any music lying around that needed lyrics and offered to write me some. Straight out of the blue. I immediately said yes and sent him a demo from a million years ago that was titled “Beautiful Trees”. It’s only guitar strumming (no percussion or bass) and I had no recollection of a melody, so it was perfect. I didn’t hear back for a looooooong time (at least two months), then he sent me lyrics and a recording of him singing over my demo. So there it was! Melody and lyrics. There’s a theme of reminiscing and teenage memories and all that; it feels nice to hear. I left his idea 99% unchanged (except for the bridge melody) and I’m looking forward to giving him a credit when it’s done.

So that’s what I’m up to. March 1st is a Sunday; by my schedule I’ll be done with it on Friday. Wish me luck.
