Why does this title feel familiar? Oh yeah…

Well. My birthday’s come and gone. Grateful to have had such a great weekend. The Clipse concert was awesome; great seats and I’m preeeetty sure I made eye contact with each of them at one point haha. Kendrick Lamar popping out was pretty fun, too. Crowd went nuts! LA Live was also celebrating Kobe Bryant’s birthday (RIP); same day as mine, 08/23. Got a picture with Kobe’s statue outside of Staples Center (I refuse to use the other name). The venue had a nice little lounge, too. But lemme stop before I link a million pictures haha.

Biggest thing on the week’s agenda was to finish writing Say It Ain’t So. The song is about a guy walking in on his girl cheating (Wasted all my time, thinking you were mine / Just say it ain’t so…). I have the first two verses down and the third verse is almost done; I’m also considering doing a spoken word/skit during that verse. Think Oran Juice Jones at the end of The Rain. Might be fun to spend 16 bars dressing down a cheating partner xD Either way, there will be something written to completion this week; the verse or the skit.

Now that birthday week’s over, it’s back to the usual. I STILL have to film that KoTH video because I let myself get lazy in the last few days. I know with a day or two of regular practice I’ll be ready for a video.

Also! Another Pomona Loud this week; I could very well perform what’s basically a rough draft of this song. We’ll see. Here’s to a productive week! (raises glass)
