Let’s try this again.

So, I finished May without getting most of my goals done. I’m looking back, and as usual, I was moving a little too quickly with my release plans. It’s happened enough times that it’s just something to laugh off at this point. The only real thing to do is look forward and leave plenty of wiggle room regarding these next two tracks.

BUT. That said, I’m still buzzing from how amazing the No Doubt show was! It’s enough that they sound perfect live, but the visuals at Sphere took it to a whole new level. I had no idea what to expect, but it was damn near like they had a whole new music video for each track. Simple Kind of Life was especially moving; it’s much better than the actual music video haha. So that’s a big reason why the last week has been a bust productivity wise. But I’m not complaining! It’s definitely in the top 5 concerts I’ve ever seen.

I’m using June 1st to reassess my annual goals and take stock of where I currently stand; where TMGE currently stands. Tbh, it’s not too good. At least it doesn’t feel that way right now. But I’ll figure it out. It definitely starts with spending more time to write. I’m subscribed to DJ Pain 1’s mailing list and every week or so I’ll get a link to new beats for lease/sale. A little over a week ago I actually bought one! My first exclusive beat haha in a nutshell it just means nobody else can use the beat for an original track. This is a beat that immediately grabbed my attention and after a few listens I had a title/hook/concept in mind. It’s called Flock; this will be an attempt to actually address something other than my own issues haha. I’m excited about it! Hoping I can ride this creative wave and get it done sooner than later.

I am unapologetically listening to this album on repeat; this song especially. Still need to finish Maid of Honour; halfway through I went back to Iceman haha. Habibti was not for me but I’m down to give it another try soon.
