Afroman did what??

End of the month! Just like that. Hit (almost) all of my goals for the month re: life and this whole music thing. Sessions booked for next month and my pen has been moooooving. I’m writing a TMGE posse cut based on The End of The Martin Gachiri Experience. The idea is that we’ve reunited and are having a fun studio session, so we decide to play a game where where each member picks a rapper and does their best impression. The vibe is very Afroman-inspired; I love his music, but of course with all the trial stuff I guess he’s been in the front of my mind (about ten rows back). I want the social vibe of Afroman’s songs; it always feels like a room full of friends jamming and playing hype man and talking shit. I’m having fun with it and it serves as a writing exercise.
