626->High Desert->909!

I hit Pomona Loud this past week and was asked to perform on their stage at 909Day! What is it? I’ll quote them:

Celebrate the culture, creativity, and community of the Inland Empire at 909 Day, a one-night gathering dedicated to the artists, visionaries, and tastemakers who continue to shape the 909 and 951.

“The evening will feature live performances, open mic opportunities, local vendors, community organizations, and independent brands, creating a space where culture, connection, and creativity thrive.

Join us as we showcase the voices, sounds, stories, and spirit that make the Inland Empire one of the most unique creative communities in California.”

Yeah, feels good to line something else before THOP Fest. I’m super super excited for this chance. Even though I was like, a second or third alternate haha but that’s not the point xD In the meantime, I still have two tracks to drop and it’s looking like they’ll both be out by the end of August. New Classic was supposed to come out today but…not yet. It’ll either be this week or the next.

Also! I received an email from a Kenyan musician who said she saw me playing soukous/seben guitar on YouTube and wanted to know if I would play on one of her songs. Ummmm YES. It helps that I was able to sus out that this wasn’t some random person either haha having a Wiki page does add some credibility. Her past music is actually cool, too. I recorded some guitar parts for her and sent them a few days ago. We’ll see how things go!

The last few weeks boil down to one word: MOTION. Putting myself out there more and getting some eyes on me. feelsgoodman.jpg

I haven’t like anything on Spotify lately…but I’ve probably watched The Temptations movie 5 times in the last month haha. So this scene and song have been stuck in my head, I love Eddie’s voice.
