Slow and steady…

At I’m at that part of the release cycle (ooh that sounds official) where I’m waiting on the final mixes and using that as an excuse to not do any of the other things. Like, artwork. I tend to wait wayyy to long to get that started. I’m trying to speak some competence into existence. Good news: I signed up to compete the chance to perform at THOP Fest. Yes, a hip-hop festival. It’s weird because it took me years to realize that I rap on basically all of my songs. So yeah, I’m a…rapper? Never felt cool enough tbh.

Anyways, this is a great chance to perform some of my upcoming “regular” rap tracks, along with my older stuff. Something’s Missing is lowkey an entire rap song haha something about playing my guitar makes it feel like something different. It feels like me. Like…The Martin Gachiri Experience. BOOM. I know songs like that are what make me different from other artists. So I’m gonna leaaaaan on that. Now I just gotta like, do a workout montage leading up to the competition. It’s the end of June, so there’s time! haha
